2-Day Tour: Huacachina Oasis & Nazca Lines

Day 1: Lima → Huacachina Oasis → Ica

  • 7:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Lima
    Begin your adventure with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in Lima. Your tour guide and driver will greet you and provide an overview of the trip.

  • 9:00 AM: Arrival in Ica
    After approximately 4 hours of travel (depending on traffic), you’ll arrive in Ica. We’ll stop for a short break and allow you to stretch your legs before heading to your first destination.

  • 10:00 AM: Visit to Huacachina Oasis
    Known as "The Oasis of America," Huacachina is a picturesque desert oasis surrounded by towering sand dunes. Take time to explore the oasis, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
    You can relax by the lagoon or take an optional dune buggy ride or sandboarding experience. Both activities are thrilling and provide an adrenaline rush as you ride over the massive dunes.

  • 1:00 PM: Lunch at a Local Restaurant
    Enjoy a delicious Peruvian meal at a local restaurant in Ica. Traditional dishes like Causa Rellena, Lomo Saltado, or Aji de Gallina are popular choices.

  • 2:30 PM: Visit the Ica Regional Museum (Optional)
    If you are interested in local history and archaeology, you can visit the Ica Regional Museum, which houses a fascinating collection of pre-Columbian artifacts and mummies, including those from the Paracas and Nazca cultures.

  • 4:00 PM: Transfer to Nazca
    After your time in Ica, you’ll travel to Nazca, which takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and have some time to rest and refresh.

  • 7:00 PM: Dinner at the Hotel or Local Restaurant
    After checking in, enjoy a relaxing dinner. A variety of local and international options are available at the hotel or in nearby restaurants.

Day 2: Nazca Lines Overflight → Return to Lima

  • 6:30 AM: Breakfast at the Hotel
    Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel to start the day refreshed and ready for the exciting experience ahead.

  • 7:30 AM: Nazca Lines Overflight
    After breakfast, we will head to the Nazca Airport to board a small plane for your overflight of the Nazca Lines. The flight lasts around 30 minutes and gives you an aerial view of the geoglyphs, including famous shapes like the Monkey, Spider, Hummingbird, and the Astronaut. Your pilot will make multiple passes over the lines so you can get a perfect view and take photos of these ancient designs.

  • 9:00 AM: Visit the Nazca Lines Viewing Tower
    After the flight, visit the Nazca Lines Viewing Tower to see the geoglyphs from a different perspective. This is a great opportunity to photograph the tree, hands, and other geoglyphs visible from the ground.

  • 10:00 AM: Visit the Chauchilla Cemetery
    If time permits and you’re interested in the ancient Nazca culture, you can visit the Chauchilla Cemetery. This archaeological site contains pre-Inca mummies and ancient tombs, offering a deeper understanding of the region’s history.

  • 12:00 PM: Lunch in Nazca
    Enjoy a traditional lunch in Nazca before beginning your return journey to Lima.

  • 1:30 PM: Return to Lima
    After lunch, you will head back to Lima with an estimated 7-hour drive. Your guide will keep you entertained with stories and facts about the region during the journey.

  • 8:00 PM: Arrival in Lima & Drop-off at Your Hotel
    Once we arrive in Lima, we will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable 2-day tour.

  • Round-trip transportation from Lima to Ica, Huacachina, and Nazca in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
